OverviewWirlix is a Bay Area based startup focused on creating meaningful conversations through short form video formats. Unlike traditional social platforms where users can remain anonymous, Wirlix encourages people to share their opinions openly by recording video responses and participating in face to face discussions.
As a pre-seed stage startup, Wirlix had successfully validated its idea with an early prototype. However, turning that prototype into a production ready application required a strong technical foundation capable of supporting real users, growing engagement and future expansion.
To bring this vision to life, Wirlix partnered with Crescibit to design and develop a scalable iOS application that could deliver a seamless video experience while remaining ready for future growth.

Prototype Was Not Built for GrowthThe initial version of the application served its purpose in validating the concept but it was not designed to support a growing user base. Performance issues began to surface as more users joined the platform, creating limitations around scalability and long term maintainability.
Video Experience Was CriticalVideo sits at the center of the Wirlix experience. Any delays in recording, uploading or viewing content could negatively impact user engagement. The platform required a smooth and reliable video experience across varying network conditions and device capabilities.
Cross Border CollaborationThe Wirlix leadership team was based in the United States while the development team operated from India. Maintaining alignment on requirements, priorities and delivery timelines required a structured and transparent collaboration process.
iOS First Today With an Eye on TomorrowThe immediate goal was a beautiful, reliable iPhone app. But the long term vision included reaching additional platforms without starting over.
Building Around User IdentityThe core idea behind Wirlix is accountability through video. Users participate using their real identity and personal video responses. This required the entire user experience to be thoughtfully designed around video creation, conversations and profile visibility. A generic social media template would have diluted what makes Wirlix special.

Multiple video quality versions are generated to ensure smooth playback across different network conditions and device capabilities. Created an intuitive user journey that makes recording, sharing and responding to video conversations simple and engaging.
